abandoned projects
A design project will be considered abandoned if we have not heard from you in 30 days. We do our best to get in-touch with you and wrap up the project as quickly as possible. You will not have any rights to use any of the work that was presented to you if the project is considered abandoned. If we have not heard from you and you contact us after the 30 days and your project has been marked abandoned, a start up fee of $50 will apply in order to retrieve the artwork from our archives.
Photography galleries are available online to all clients (having paid in full) for at least 2 months. If the client needs the gallery published there will be a $50 republishing fee in order to pull and republish the photographs from our archive. revisions
Unless otherwise stated, we allow TWO rounds of revisions for brand and web packages and ONE revision for a-la-carte design items. We will bill per additional round after that. Our initial consultation and collaboration board prior to design work is to ensure we get as much information from you as possible to get the first mockup correct.
copy & content
You are responsible for all content (in final stage) to be provided prior to the start of a design project. You are responsible for all trademark, service mark, copyright and patent infringement clearances. You are also responsible for arranging, prior to publication, any necessary legal clearance of materials we prepare.
We are not responsible for proof-reading your content, so please make sure there are no errors when sending it over. Amy Millard is not liable for typos, etc. in print or on the web. copyrights
Client will have the exclusive right to the logo design chosen. All logos are custom and 100% vector (which means that you can scale to any size without losing quality). It is up to that client to register their logo, if they wish to copyright the artwork. Any concepts that are not chosen may NOT be used elsewhere.
stock photography
It’s optional to provide your own images. We work with our own gallery of stock images at a small fee. Larger fees may apply in specific cases (large quantity requests, special licensing for photos, etc). You will be advised of these fees after consultation of your project. Booking photography services to create original photography, unique to your business, is a great option. (inquire for more details)
portfolio use
We reserve the right to add any completed/partial design projects and photographs to our portfolio (per specific contracts given to clients). Websites created by our team should display “Website by Amy Millard: Creative Studio ” at the bottom of your website with a hyperlink. In certain cases, our website credit will not be posted due to privacy purposes and we respect that. Please notify us if this is the case.
final artwork
Once final payment is received. Design projects will be prepped for the printer, packaged and available for download. Photography related projects will receive their own private gallery, where in most cases the client (not all guests of event) may download digital files. Excludes weddings.
printers
We are happy to work with a printer to full-fill your print needs. Please let us know at the start of a project if you wish to add this service to your project. We work with third-party printers that we trust and are affiliated with. In the rare case that there is a printing issue, we will work with the printers to get it resolved, but any costs incurred will not be at the expense of Amy Millard. Please note that some print materials may not show the exact same colour that is showing up on your screen. This is due to the fact that each computer screen tint can be different. Any reprints required will not be at the expense of Amy Millard. We recommend providing Hex #s or Pantone colours if you need exact shades matched up.
taxes
Taxes are included on design or photography services. If a design project includes printed deliverables, an 8% CA sales tax will be applied plus shipping costs.
